There are many interesting concept phones and other devices that never see the light of day, because of lack of funding, or because the design was ahead of current technology, and so forth. But we must dare to dream, right?
A designer named Kristian Ulrich Larsen has created an intriguing concept he calls the Flip Phone. It’s an idea for a handset powered by vanilla Android that features three flexible displays, which can be adjusted any way you like depending on what you want to do. If you feel like reading e-books, for example, the device can fold out like an actual book.
Each of the three screens in the concept is said to feature Super AMOLED technology behind resistant Gorilla Glass. Steel mesh serves as hinges and in addition to the triple displays, there’s a hardware QWERTY keyboard hiding somewhere as well.
